The Difference a Few Sessions Can Make

Every athlete is different, but one thing we’ve seen time and again is that when people commit to focused skill work, progress happens fast. Sometimes it’s a small adjustment—where to place your hands on the bar or how to time your hip drive. Other times, it’s building strength in the right muscles or practicing progressions designed just for you.

Take T, for example. She’d been chasing double-unders for years, frustrated in class and doing everything she could think of. After one personal training session, she had the rhythm down. By the end of her session, she was stringing 10+ together consistently.

Or Amy, who wanted strict and kipping pull ups. We worked on her strict strength, her kip, and her transition, breaking the movement into manageable pieces. The last session we had she wasn't thinking about the first pull up at all, hitting those conistently as we worked to get 2 strung together and accomplishing that multiple times throughout the session.
