So this is a little late, AND just like showing up and doing something is better than nothing in your fitness journey, getting this message out to you late is better than not at all.
To be honest, I’ve been a bit overwhelmed with gratitude and all of this has been hard to put into words.
So here we go.
September 2012, we got the keys to the space that is currently WildFire CrossFit.
Labor Day weekend we put in the first pull up rig and rack structure and held our first class. Current members, Kelly and Pam Foley were there.
Over the next few weeks Skip built the kids area, we painted, and we set got WildFire CrossFit ready to officially open.
October 1, 2012 WildFire CrossFit was open.
Last year 10 years was a big milestone to hit.
This year......
11 hit different, and a HUGE way.
11 meant we not only hit the 10 year mark, we surpassed it.
11 meant we established our mission to impact the lives of our community in a positive way. To provide a welcoming environment in which people find the best versions of themselves, physically and mentally.
11 meant that the community we have poured our hearts into has poured their hearts right back to us, to our coaching team and to each other.
From past to present, the WildFire community is strong. That is the most humbling part.
To see former members who have formed lifelong friendships and connections along the way and current members getting to know each other better.
This is what we mean when we say "Ignite Your Life"; make your life better through your health & fitness, the community you build and the connections you make.
The anniversary party we hold each year is about much more than a party. It is a way for us to say thank you to our community for another year and to honor our team of coaches who make WildFire the amazing environment it is each year.
As a team, we have bonded even more. With every turn of adversity, challenges, and wins we have become stronger together and united in the foundation of the passion we have for WildFire CrossFit.
Steel is the symbol for an 11th year anniversary and that makes me think of one of my favorite quotes:
“The strongest steel had to go through the hottest fire.”
No matter how hot the fire gets for me, for you, for our community….we know that going through it we will be stronger on the other side.
Each day we step into the gym to get a little stronger, we put a positive deposit in our health bank account, we get stronger mentally because we worked through something “tough” or something we didn’t want to do, we feel the burn and challenge our body to step up to the plate and do more than we think it can do.
Each day we step through the doors of WildFire CrossFit we add more fire to that steel and we get stronger.
And we do that TOGETHER!
THANK YOU for being a part of this community. Without you we would not be here 11 years later.
THANY YOU to our amazing coaching staff and team!
We appreciate all of your hard work, dedication and passion!
Thank you for letting me introduce you with a walk out song at the party!!
Make sure you tell your coaches how much they are appreciated when you are in class.
Cheers to even more!
With Love,
Tiffany & Skip
We had 2 of our members who won our annual awards…they deserve their own post so stay tuned for that to come!
