Every year, the CrossFit Open brings our community together like nothing else. It’s three weeks of fitness, fun, and connection that highlights why we love what we do at WildFire CrossFit. Whether you’re new to CrossFit or have been training for years, the Open is an opportunity to challenge yourself, celebrate your progress, and cheer on your fellow athletes.
What is the CrossFit Open?
The CrossFit Open is a worldwide event that kicks off the CrossFit Games season. Over the course of three weeks, athletes from around the globe complete a new workout each week and submit their scores online. The Open is for everyone—there are options for all levels, from scaled and foundations to Rx and adaptive divisions.
At its core, the Open is about participation, not competition. It’s about testing yourself against your previous performance, sharing the experience with your gym community, and stepping outside your comfort zone. At WildFire, we make it even more special with our Saturday morning events, turning each workout into a celebration of fitness, teamwork, and support.
Why Does WildFire CrossFit Participate in the Open?
The Open embodies the spirit of CrossFit: community, growth, and fun. At WildFire CrossFit, it’s one of our favorite events of the year because it’s a time to:
- Come Together as a Community: Athletes of all levels cheer each other on, creating a supportive and encouraging atmosphere.
- Challenge Yourself: Whether you’re chasing your first pull-up or pushing for a new personal best, the Open gives you the chance to push beyond your limits.
- Celebrate Achievements: The Open is about progress, not perfection. Every rep, every attempt, and every moment of effort is worth celebrating.
- Have Fun: We wrap up the Open with a potluck and bonus team events on the final Saturday, making it a true community party!

Exciting Updates: New Level System and Community Cup Event through CrossFit HQ Open Registration.
CrossFit has introduced two significant additions for the 2025 season: a new Level System and the Community Cup event when you register for the CrossFit Open through HQ. Here's what you need to know:
New Level System
After completing the CrossFit Open, athletes will receive an official level based on their global performance. This is by logging their Open scores on the Worldwide Leaderboar by completing them with a registered judge at an affiliate. This system groups participants with others of similar abilities, regardless of age or location, fostering a more personalized and motivating experience. The levels are categorized as follows:
- Rookie (Levels 1-2)
- Novice (Levels 3-4)
- Intermediate (Levels 5-6)
- Advanced (Levels 7-8)
- Pro (Levels 9-10)
This structure allows you to see where you stand and identify areas for growth, making your CrossFit journey even more rewarding.
Introducing the Community Cup
The Community Cup, a new affiliate-based online competition taking place from June 9-15, 2025. This event is designed to bring together athletes of similar levels for a fun and challenging experience. To participate, you must complete all three Open workouts and submit your scores through CrossFit HQ. During the Community Cup, you'll compete in three workouts over one week, with each workout tailored to challenge your specific level appropriately. All workouts will be released the week before the competition, allowing affiliates to plan ahead. While scores are entered online, the Community Cup must be completed in an affiliate, ensuring a supportive and community-driven environment.
How WildFire CrossFit is Embracing These Changes
At WildFire CrossFit, we're excited to integrate the new Level System and participate in the Community Cup. These additions align perfectly with our commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where every athlete can thrive. Here's how we're incorporating these updates:
- Personalized Training: As always our coaches are here to personalize your training either through modifications in workouts, specifice individual programming, and or personal training and coaching.
