Summer Swolestice: Part 1 at WildFire CrossFit

If you haven’t signed up for Part 1 of the Summer Swolestice, get signed up. It’s going to be a lot of fun and an event you don’t want to miss!

What it’s all about…

First and foremost, it’s about having FUN and being able to participate in an event with people you may not always get to take class with. Ultimately, it’s about bringing the Community together and building relationships.

Yes, we want people to do their best and get the best result possible. It always amazes me how an event like this will bring out the best in people. That said, if someone needs to make an additional modification to an exercise so they can participate, go for it, OR if a Team need to do the RX for 1 workout and the Intermediate for the other…that’s fine too!

Again, it’s all about participating and having fun, so if there’s something that’s been holding you back, let it go, get a teammate, and join us for what’s going to be a GREAT time!!

How it will work…

Please get here by 5:30pm. Once everyone is here, we will go through the movement standards and put people into heats.

We will have scorecards printed off for each workout and enlist the help of athletes going in other heats to help judge so we can still uphold the movement standards.

Just like a normal event, once we get through all the heats of the first workout, we will move onto the 2nd.

When the workouts are complete…

Once it’s all said and done, we will open up the coolers, fill up the plates, turn up the music, and then the real fun begins!

We are going to be supplying brisket and chicken for the main course (generously cooked by Joe Cavanaugh) and several different kinds of beer.

If there are some small sides you would like to bring, or if there is something special you like to drink, bring whatever you would like. In the past we have had plenty of leftovers, so if everyone brings something small, that would be great!

Finally, I highly encourage everyone to participate. If you need a partner, message me (Skip) and we will make sure you have someone.
