Tis the season…

This is the time of year when it’s easy to skip out on your fitness. I get it, you are busy. Parties, presents to buy, events, more parties, cooking, time with friends & family. These are all great excuses. At the end of the day, they are still just excuses.

Think of it this way. When you stay on track during the holidays, the busiest, craziest time of the year, you can do it anytime. Plus, it’s great stress relief heading into all those family outings and social get-togethers.

If you need help staying on point, just ask. We are here to help! We can give you some tips, suggest alternative classes if your schedule won’t allow it, and even get you at home workouts so you can stay fit no matter where you are! And remember, visiting family members are always welcome to join you for any of the classes on our schedule and even Open Gym.

So stick to it. You’ve got this. Don’t wait to New Years to get back after it. It’s a whole lot easier to get out of shape than it is back into it, so keep it going and reach out if you need any help and keep getting into WildFire CrossFit this Holiday Season!

Today at WildFire…

We have a great one for you today. For strength, we have Pause Jerks which are going to help you generate more power in your drive and mechanics in the lift. The WOD is a singlet that you are probably either really excited about or really excited to skip. Just sayin. The workout is 50 Handstand Pushups for time. While some of you may be excited to show off your gymnastics skills, other might be thinking beating your head against the floor would be more fun.

Since we talk all the time about training your weakness, I’m not even going to mention it. Instead, I am going to tell you that today, you get to challenge yourself. You’ve got handstand pushups for days? Great. Make sure you are really locking every rep out to full extension or better yet, work on doing as many reps as possible strict. Still working on doing your first rep without 2 or 3 abmats? Awesome. Do the alternative version of 5 min of Dumbbell Push Press to strengthen your upper body and work on the kipping movement.

The bottom line is to look at what you can get out of it, make it happen, and I guarantee you will be glad you did, and you deserve to feel that. So get into WildFire CrossFit today, have fun, and help someone else challenge themselves just as you did. And as always, we’ll be here to help!

Final note…

We will have a full schedule of classes this weekend. Just remember to check the schedule on the Holidays. We have a full schedule through the noon class on both Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. Are closed Christmas Day and have classes at 9:30am and Noon on New Years Day.
