WildFire’s First Annual Healthy Holiday Cookoff & WOD Hopper

 

 

Get your resolutions out of the way early and it’s smooth sailing into the New Year.

Join us for the workout and stay for the food as we share the best Healthy Holiday Recipes and spread the inspiration of fitness.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Prepare your favorite Healthy Holiday Recipe
  2. Design (or copy) a workout to be done while your dish is cooking
  3. Bring them both on Saturday, November 18th at 9am and have some FUN!

Over the next few weeks we will be sending out some emails with our favorite Healthy Holiday Recipes and a short workout to go along with it. The workout is designed to be done At Home with no equipment, while your recipe is cooking or being prepared.

On Saturday, November 18th at 9am, bring your own completed recipe and workout. We will vote on the best Healthy Recipe and each workout will go into a Bucket.

At 9am we will have a CrossFit Burn Class and the workouts we do will be chosen from that bucket.

In other words, you may get the chance to do your own workout in class with the WildFire Family!

Want to participate and aren’t sure about a workout? Stay tuned every Monday, Wednesday & Friday to the WildFire CrossFit Facebook page & use our At Home workouts as a source for inspiration.

We will modify the workout so EVERYONE can participate. All skill levels WELCOME 😊

Since there is almost 40 minutes of cooking and cooling time, we have a great workout to go along with it.

Banana Bread French Toast Workout:

4 min AMRAP 1 min Rest 4 cycles
10 Push-Ups
10 Sit Ups
10 Squats
10 Hollow Ups (make a banana shape with your body)

For this workout, you will set a 4-minute clock. Do as many rounds as possible in 4 minutes. Then rest for 1 minute. Be sure to check that bread to make sure it’s cooking nicely. Repeat for a total of 4 cycles. Workout will take 19 minutes including rest.

Get the family together, make some bread, and have some fitness FUN!

YOU ARE INVITED to our 5th Annual Turkey Day Adventure on Thanksgiving Day!
At 8am we will have a 5K Run (or walk, or crawl 😊) and at 9am we will have a family friendly workout.
